2010 Golden Week Family Trip -Day 2 / Part 2-

After breakfast,  at 10am we left the hotel and headed to see cherry blossoms, which were in full bloom at that time in the northern Japan.

Asahi Peaks through the car window

It was already May but there is some snow left

Another view of the peaks

Blue clear sky, mountains, rice fields and river. Nice rural landscape

Paid 200yen donation for supporting "Sakura Matsuri"

Cute lanterns

A lot of people from kids to the elderly there

Asahi peaks again

Cherry blossoms in the different depth of momo-iro peach color

Shops selling foods like snacks, pickles, etc.

Tama-konnyaku, Yamagata's specialty. Konjac balls cooked and seasoned with sweet soy sauce

We all enjoyed cherry blossoms a lot. Luckily, it was sunny and the photos turn good with blue sky and pink cherry blossoms.
